Editorial Policy

Educational content — including the PSX glossary — is maintained by the BSL Research Desk. Guides are drafted with the help of AI writing tools, working strictly from source material we supply: PSX and NCCPL documentation, SECP regulations, and our own market data definitions. Every guide is then reviewed and edited by the research desk before it is published, and carries its author, reviewer, and last-updated date.

Explanations are localised to how the Pakistan Stock Exchange actually works — Rs 10 face values, T+1 settlement through NCCPL, PSX circuit breakers — rather than generic textbook definitions.

Written guides deliberately contain no live market figures. Wherever a page shows a price, yield, ratio, or example, that number is rendered from our market database at publication time and stamped with an explicit “as of” date — so an explanation written months ago can never present a stale number as current. No listed company pays to appear — or to look better — anywhere on this platform. Lists and screens are deterministic sorts of exchange data; glossary examples cite whichever stocks best illustrate the concept.
