On the PSX it flows through the Margin Trading System (MTS) and broker Margin Financing (MFS) — regulated facilities that let investors carry positions larger than their cash — alongside deliverable futures and disclosed blank (short) sales. Rising leverage amplifies both rallies and drawdowns, which is why professionals track these NCCPL and PSX feeds daily. No other free PSX platform publishes this series.

Frequently Asked Questions
Margin Trading System (MTS) lets investors buy PSX shares with borrowed funds against eligible securities. The market MTS figure is the total open financed position across all MTS-eligible scrips, reported daily by NCCPL.
MTS (Margin Trading System) is exchange-run leveraged buying; MFS (Margin Financing System) is a separate financier-provided margin product. Together they make up total market margin exposure.
Futures open interest is the value of outstanding deliverable futures contracts. Blank (net short) sales are same-day short positions in the Deliverable Futures Contract market — a gauge of bearish positioning relative to open interest and free float.
It is the share of a symbol's traded value settled by the announcing UIN (Unique Identification Number), from NCCPL's settlement report. A high value-weighted market UIN % indicates settlement concentrated in fewer hands.
